DOE Build an Atom
As part of the Department of Energy’s (DOE) “The Harnessed Atom” curriculum, we developed 2 games to help elementary school students understand nuclear science and energy. In the “Build an Atom” game, students/players use the basic building blocks of matter to build chemical elements. The game teaches the molecular structure of elements and has the learner place them in the correct position in the atom in order to create the animation of the element.
