Posiva Safety Assessment Database
This example includes interative e-Learning tutorials and narrated video created for Posiva to train employees in data management and the use of associated software platforms related to the running of a safety assessment for a geological repository for radioactive waste. These training aids are provided to new and existing employees, in combination with traditional training sessions in person.
A series of online interactive tutorials and narrated videos were provided to Posiva for training of new and existing employees in the procedures for data supply and demand, and relevant software platforms, related to the safety assessments for geological repositories for radioactive waste in Finland. These tutorials, provided to compliment traditional training lectures, include elucidation of the following topics:
- The data supply and demand process
- The clearance and quality assurance processes required before data are accepted into the database or released for use
- The different roles and responsibilities of employees relevant to the process
- The documentation that is generated and kept throughout, and following the request and supply process
- Navigation and use of the Safety assessment database (SAdb)
- The relationship of software platforms used to manage the data request/supply processes and document archiving
