Water Fluoridation Course Prototyping Process

This example shows our prototyping process and end-user testing.  It is from a project involving the conversion of a week-long, travel intensive, course on water fluoridation operations for the CDC. The original, traditional course consisted of lectures and facility tours. A challenge for the e-Learning course was to make it interactive, giving students an immersive experience to replace the facility tours, and allow the students to take only the needed content based on his or her job responsibilities. Extensive prototype review and user testing provided information to key stakeholders and decision makers. The example opens the project description.

Examples 19b and 21a show the initial design and final design of this course as a result of the prototyping process.
